  • Gonzaga junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss earned Tournament MVP honors at the Advocare Invitational and is the #WCChoops Player of the Week. RELEASE
  • The NCAA has released its latest NCAA Basketball Officiating fan video. WATCH
  • So far the West Coast Conference owns a 2016-17 non-conference record of 36-21 (.632). Complete breakdown of non-conference records vs. opposing conferences is listed on page three
  • The West Coast Conference ranks second overall in conference 3-point field goal percentage (37.25), is third in scoring (78.00), fifth in free throw accuracy (72.16) and seventh in rebounds (38.00).
  • Santa Clara’s Jared Brownridge ranks fourth among active career Division I scoring leaders (1,861). Portland’s Alec Wintering (31st/1,334) also cracks the top-35.
  • Brownridge also ranks seventh in 3-point field goals per game (2.91), while BYU’s Nick Emery is 16th (2.67).
  • Saint Mary’s junior guard Emmett Naar ranks 12th nationally among active career assists leaders (5.41) and is ninth among 3-point field goal percentage leaders (43.5). LMU’s Brandon Brown (8th/5.60), SMC’s Joe Rahon (10th/5.50), Wintering (16th/5.17) and Gonzaga’s Nigel Williams-Goss (17th/5.09) all appear in the career active assists top-25.
  • Wintering is third overall among active assists leaders (507), while Pepperdine’s Jeremy Major (15th/404) and Naar (24th/379) own spots in the top-25. Wintering (11th/153) and Major (24th/132) are also in the top-20 in steals.
  • Saint Mary’s Dane Pineau ranks third nationally among active career field goal percentage leaders (62.0). The best career mark in WCC history is Pepperdine’s Orlando Phillips (1981-83) who hit 65.4% from the floor.
  • Four WCC student-athletes have cracked preseason major individual awards watch lists for 2016-17. Gonzaga junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss is on the Bob Cousy Award list (top collegiate point guard), BYU sophomore center Eric Mika is on the Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Award list (top collegiate center) while BYU sophomore guard Nick Emery and Gonzaga’s Jordan Mathews made the Jerry West Award list (top collegiate shooting guard).

  • Four WCC student-athletes have cracked preseason major individual awards watch lists for 2016-17. Gonzaga junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss is on the Bob Cousy Award list (top collegiate point guard), BYU sophomore center Eric Mika is on the Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Award list (top collegiate center) while BYU sophomore guard Nick Emery and Gonzaga’s Jordan Mathews made the Jerry West Award list (top collegiate shooting guard).
  • A minimum of 40 men’s basketball games involving West Coast Conference programs will air nationally on an ESPN network this season, including additional exposure during the 2017 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship in Las Vegas.
  • For the third straight year, the West Coast Conference will establish yet another record this season by broadcasting every game during league play on a national or regional level, and/or produced for broadcast on the conference’s digital network, TheW.tv.
