San Francisco’s Weronika Pyzik Captures September WCC Women’s Runner of the Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the WCC Women’s Runner of the Month for September.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE MONTH (SEPTEMBER): WERONIKA PYZIK, SO. – SAN FRANCISCO
Weronika Pyzik had an impressive September, winning back-to-back races at the USF Invitational and then, most recently, the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational. The women's team won back-to-back invites on the heels of those races from Pyzik. At the USF Invitational, she ran the 6k course in a time of 21:31.7. Three weeks later she bested that time with a 21:10 finish at the Roy Griak Invitational. Her exploits helped lift San Francisco to a No. 6 national ranking.
