BYU's Jared Ward is the WCC Men's Cross Country Player of the Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its November Men's Cross Country Player of the Month, Jared Ward from BYU.

BYU junior Jared Ward is the WCC Men's Cross Country Player of the Month for November. Ward led the Cougars at both the NCAA Mountain Regional in Fort Collins, Colo., where BYU finished second as a team, as well as the NCAA National Championships in Louisville, Ky., in which the Cougars placed sixth overall.

Ward capped the 2012 cross country season by earning both All-Region and All-America honors after finishing third overall at the NCAA Regional (30:06.30), and 14th overall at the National Championships (29:33.40). Ward was also named WCC Men's Country Player of the Month for October, after taking home the title at the 2012 WCC Cross Country Championships.
