SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week for February 17, 2014.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
ANDREW SOPKO, SO., RHP, GONZAGA
Righthander pitcher Andrew Sopko pitched Gonzaga to its first victory of the season. The Missoula, Montana native stepped up and delivered seven scoreless innings against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Sopko struck out four and walked just two. He scattered four hits in the best performance of his college career. Gonzaga won the game 5-3. The victory also marks the first for Sopko in his collegiate career.

BRETT SULLIVAN, SO., SS, PACIFIC
Brett Sullivan was the Tigers' hottest hitter over the weekend as he went 8-for-12 (.667) at the plate while hitting in the 3-hole. He posted a .692 on-base percentage in the three games Pacific played recording a hit in each contest and two multi-hit performances. Against WCC foe Gonzaga, Sullivan went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run. Midway through the tournament, Sullivan went five-straight at bats with a hit, finishing the Gonzaga game with four-straight before singling to start the Oregon State game.
