SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2015-16 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. The list is headlined by a CoSIDA All-District Academic honoree, Gonzaga sophomore Domantas Sabonis and Santa Clara junior Nate Kratch -- the only student-athlete appearing on the list for the second straight year.
The list is dominated by debut first team appearances. This season no fewer than nine newcomers qualified for the WCC All-Academic first team, besting the previous record of eight set just last season.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
