SAN BRUNO, Calif. - ESPN recently announced its 2009-10 men's basketball schedule which will feature approximately 1,100 games across the networks multiple platforms. The West Coast Conference is among the featured conferences as WCC teams are scheduled to make 31 appearances, including 14 WCC regular season games, on ESPN's family of networks.
Saint Mary's and Gonzaga kick-off the list of WCC ESPN exposures as both teams will be featured in ESPN's second annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. Saint Mary's home game against San Diego State on Monday, November 16th, and Gonzaga's game at Michigan State on Tuesday, November 17th, highlight ESPN's tip-off coverage of the college basketball season.
WCC teams Gonzaga, Portland, and Saint Mary's will participate in tournaments that will be covered by the ESPN family of networks. Gonzaga is scheduled to play in the EA Sports Maui Invitational on November 23-25, Portland will play in the 76 Classic on November 26-29, and Saint Mary's will participate in the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic on December 22-25.
For the second straight year, WCC games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN's "Thursday Night Showcase". ESPN, the exclusive national television provider of the West Coast Conference, will broadcast 12 WCC games on ESPN or ESPN2 with an additional seven games showcased on ESPNU.
The WCC will make its first of six appearances on "Thursday Night Showcase" on Jan. 14 when Gonzaga travels to rival Saint Mary's for a showdown in Moraga, CA on ESPN2 in one of the most anticipated conference games of the season. Also featured on ESPN's "Thursday Night Showcase" will be Gonzaga at Santa Clara (1/28 - ESPN2 - ESPNU Campus Connection Week), Portland at Gonzaga (2/4 - ESPN2), Saint Mary's at Gonzaga (2/11 - ESPN2 - Rivalry Week), Saint Mary's at San Diego (2/18 - ESPN2), and Santa Clara at Gonzaga (2/25 - ESPN2 - Judgement Week).
In addition to the 14 WCC regular season games, ESPN will broadcast both semifinal games as well as the final of the 2010 Zappos.com WCC Men's Basketball Championship.
Additional men's basketball telecasts will be arranged and announced by the conference's eight member institutions. The dates and times of these broadcasts will be posted on WCCsports.com as they become available.

The second annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon celebrating the start of the season with 12 live games in 24 hours on ESPN on Tuesday, Nov. 17. ESPN games are scheduled to tip off every two hours beginning at 12 a.m. ET (9 p.m. PT Nov. 16) with Cal State Fullerton at UCLA. The 6 and 8 a.m. telecasts mark the first time ESPN has televised a live college basketball game in either of in those time slots -- in more than 8,200 live matchups in 30 years;
More than 900 games on ESPN360.com, including 10 original productions and simulcasts of every ESPN and ESPN2 game and ESPN FULL COURT pay-per-view game. ESPN Mobile TV will simulcast approximately 250 contests;
A record number of games on ESPNU with more than 240;
The newly created Conference Tip-Off Jan. 11-17, highlighting the launch of ESPN's regular weekday and Saturday conference coverage with more than 42 games;

Monday: ESPN's weekly Big Monday Presented by Bud Light doubleheader will feature the BIG EAST and Big 12 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively;
Tuesday: Super Tuesday Presented by KFC will highlight an ESPN Big Ten and SEC doubleheader as well as a weekly ESPN2 prime-time matchup featuring the ACC, Big 12 or BIG EAST. Tuesday will also include a weekly doubleheader on ESPNU at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. showcasing various conferences;

Thursday: The Thursday Night Showcase will include a new weekly SEC game joining the Big Ten telecast as well as games from the ACC, BIG EAST and Pac-10 on ESPN or ESPN2 at 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. In addition, ESPN2 and ESPNU will offer a consistent 11 p.m. West Coast Conference game;
