SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Through two weeks of play, three West Coast Conference teams remain unbeaten, including No. 16/17 Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, and Santa Clara.

WCC QUICK HITS

  • Through November 19, WCC teams boast a .633 winning percentage (19-11) vs. non-conference foes. See the attached notes for the breakdown.

  • For the second time in its 60-year history of men's basketball (2008), the West Coast Conference had three teams participating in the NCAA Tournament (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's). In 2012, the WCC also registered five postseason teams for the second straight year (LMU, USF).

  • Only five Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last five seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the WCC home. The other two: Duke, Kansas.

  • Three WCC players have been named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50: Gonzaga F Elias Harris, BYU F Brandon Davies, and Saint Mary's G Matthew Dellavedova all made the initial cut.

  • Three WCC players have also been named to the Naismith Trophy list: Gonzaga F Elias Harris, Gonzaga G Kevin Pangos, and Saint Mary's G Matthew Dellavedova are all on the initial watch list for the award, handed out in April.

  • San Diego sophomore Johnny Dee is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. He averaged 18.5 points and shot 59% from beyond the three-point arc in a four-game tournament last week.
