Four West Coast Conference Soccer Matches Postponed Due to Poor Air Quality

Oct. 12, 2017

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced four soccer matches this weekend have been postponed due to the air quality in the Bay Area stemming from wildfires that continue to burn across Northern California.

“As a member of the Bay Area community, our thoughts continue to be with those affected by the fires in our area,” said West Coast Conference Commissioner Lynn Holzman. “The health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes as well as institutional staff, volunteers and spectators are paramount.”

The Conference office is working with the affected institutions to reschedule the postponed matches for later this season. The affected matches are:

Friday, October 13
Men’s Soccer: Pacific at San Francisco
Men’s Soccer: Saint Mary’s at Santa Clara

Saturday, October 14
Women’s Soccer: San Diego at Santa Clara
Women’s Soccer: BYU at San Francisco
