SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Pacific junior defender Tristan Blackmon became the first West Coast Conference student-athlete to be named an NSCAA All-American since 2012 to lead the way as a total of nine WCC men's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2016 NSCAA All-Far West Region teams, one more than the conference office earned last season.

Five WCC programs placed at least one student-athlete on the list: Portland (3), Loyola Marymount (2), Pacific (2), Gonzaga (1) and San Diego (1). WCC co-champion Pacific led the way with two First Team selections, including Blackmon who went on to earn Second Team All-American honors - the first for the league since Erik Hurtado of Santa Clara earned second team honors in 2012.

In addition, Pacific's Ryan Jorden  was named the NSCAA Far West Region Coach of the Year.
