SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named Portland sophomore Carlos Donat the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the San Diego duo of Josh Page and Filip Vittek the Doubles Team of the Week.

Donat went 2-0 in singles play in helping the Pilots claim their first WCC regular season title with home wins over Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount last weekend. The sophomore provided the clinching point in Friday’s thrilling 4-3 comeback win over the Waves to secure at least a share of the program’s first league title. The Barcelona, Spain native dropped the first set against Pepperdine’s James Van Slyke by a 6-4 margin but bounced back to win the second set 6-3 and the third 7-5 to incite an on-court celebration. He then won in straight sets on Saturday against LMU’s Max Kaiser to tie the overall team score at 3-3 as the Pilots would go on to claim a second consecutive comeback victory to secure sole possession of the league title. Donat improved to 14-2 in spring dual singles matches and a perfect 8-0 against WCC opponents.

For the last time on their home courts, the senior duo of Filip Vittek and Josh Page clinched both conference doubles points this weekend at the No 1 spot. The duo defeated San Francisco’s Christian Brockstedt and Mert Zincirli 6-2 on Friday and Santa Clara's Vasileios Ilipoulos and Connor Garnett 7-5 on Sunday to improve to19-7 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
