SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Gonzaga senior guard Taelor Karr is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Karr led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 start in conference play. She averaged 21 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game for the Zags.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TAELOR KARR, SR., G, GONZAGA

Karr began conference play scoring a career-high and Zag season-high 27 points in the Bulldogs 77-57 win over the University of San Diego. Twenty-four of her 27 points came from behind the 3-point arc, nailing 8-of-9. Her eight 3-pointers were one shy of tying the Gonzaga single-game record of nine. Karr also tied a career-high in steals with five, a high she previously recorded as a member of the Kansas State women's basketball team, and dished out four assists and grabbed five rebounds.

She followed that performance up by scoring 15 points in Gonzaga's 79-50 victory over Santa Clara University. She continued her hot shooting, sinking 5-of-8 from the field, including 3-of-4 3-pointers. She also handed out four assists. The week also saw her break the 1,000-point plateau in her career, now having scored 1,020.
