2011 WCC Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team Announced

SAN BRUNO, CA -- Gonzaga University received a pair of individual honors after claiming its third straight West Coast Conference Tournament Championship and fourth in five years. Senior Courtney Vandersloot was named the MVP of the Tournament and her teammate, junior Kayla Standish, joins her on the All-Tournament team. San Diego senior Sam Child, Portland junior ReZina TecleMariam and Saint Mary's senior Louella Tomlinson round out the All-Tournament team.
Vandersloot averaged 17 points and 15 assists in Gonzaga's wins over Portland on Sunday and Saint Mary's on Monday in the Championship game of the 2011 Zappos.com WCC Basketball Championships in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena. This is Vandersloot's third straight Tournament MVP award.
Standish averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in the two wins for the Zags. Standish scored a game-high 23 points in the win over Portland on Sunday, including 19 in the second half.
Child helped lead seventh-seed San Diego into the semifinal round of the WCC Championships in Las Vegas with two wins in two days before falling to Saint Mary's on Sunday. Child averaged 18.3 points per game for the Toreros over the weekend.
TecleMariam averaged 21 points in two days for the Pilots, including a 28-point outburst in the second round win over Santa Clara on Saturday.
Tomlinson averaged 14 points and 9 rebounds in two days for the Gaels. In the semi-final win over Portland on Sunday, Tomlinson became the Gaels' all-time scoring leader with 1,822 points.
