This year's NCAA Championships are scheduled for June 1-4 at Cascades Golf Course, The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; UCLA tied Pepperdine for the low score of the day as it rallied to edge New Mexico for the team title with a 1-over par 4-hole score of 86. The Lobos (866) were second, followed by Arizona (87), Arizona State (873) and Brigham Young and USC, who tied for fifth at 17-over par 881. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Also advancing the NCAA Championships were Toledo and California with scores of 88, Pepperdine (884) and Washington (88). lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; UCLA's Travis Johnson and Arizona's Chris Nallen tied for individual medalist honors with -under par scores of 11. Lanza missed advancing to the NCAA Championships as he finished three spots out of the running for individuals. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Lanza opened his third round on the 41-yard par four 10th hole. He opened the round with three straight pars before pulling back to even par for the tournament with a birdie two on the 171-yard par three 13th hole. Back-to-back pars on 14 and 1 followed and then a bogie on the 98-yard par five 16th had Lanza even for the round and +1 for the tournament. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Following the bogie on 16, Lanza parred the remaining 11 holes to finish the third round with an even par 7. Lanza posted a 7 in the first round of the West Regional and followed that with a +1, 73 on Friday. In the three-day event, Lanza carded six birdies, seven bogies, and 43 pars.
