Gonzaga Rowing Chosen to Win 2013 West Coast Conference Championship

| WCC on Facebook | WCC coaches preview 2013 SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Gonzaga University has been selected to win the 2013 West Coast Conference women's rowing championship in a preseason poll of the WCC's seven head coaches. The Bulldogs earned 34 points and four first place votes, while 2012 WCC Champion University of San Diego followed closely behind with 31 points and three first place votes for the second place spot. The University of Portland garnered 25 points for third place in the preseason poll, while Loyola Marymount University was just three points behind with 22. Saint Mary's College (18 points), Creighton University (10 points), and Santa Clara University (7 points) rounded out the poll. All seven WCC rowing teams are represented on the preseason All-West Coast Conference team, led by Gonzaga with four selections, San Diego with three, and the remaining five schools with two apiece. The 2013 season begins on Saturday, March 2 with Loyola Marymount versus UCLA in Los Angeles, Calif.
