BYU, San Diego Claim WCC Softball Weekly Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Brigham Young junior outfielder Lexi Tarrow and San Diego sophomore pitcher Delaney Heller have been named the West Coast Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Tarrow batted .700 on the week for BYU in games against No. 11 Alabama, No. 1 Washington, Portland State and Northwestern. She finished the week scoring six runs on seven hits while also adding four RBI and a home run. Tarrow also stole four bases.

Heller pitched in all five games for San Diego, earning a 2-1 record on the week with a 2.37 ERA. The sophomore pitched 20.2 innings, including one complete game, striking out 14 batters and limiting opponents to just a .231 batting average.
