SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week for May 5, 2014. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
TORI ALMOND, SR., RHP, BYU
Senior RHP Tori Almond pitched BYU to two wins over Pacific. She finished with a 2-0 record over 9.1 innings pitched giving up one earned run and striking out nine. Against Pacific on Friday, Almond went five innings with four strikeouts to hold Pacific off and give BYU the momentum in the series. After a grand slam gave the Tigers a 6-4 lead on Saturday, Almond entered the game and allowed four hits and no earned runs to allow the Cougars to come back and finish the sweep.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KELLY SCRIBNER, SR., IF, SANTA CLARA
Senior IF Kelly Scribner had a big week for Santa Clara in their road sweep of Loyola Marymount. In the first game of the series, Scribner was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI, a double, and a home run. In game two of the doubleheader she was 4-for-4 with a solo home run. She finished up the series with two walks and an RBI. In the Broncos four games on the week Scribner hit .583/.600/1.167 with two home runs, a double, four RBI, and three runs scored. Scribner did not strike out in 12 at-bats and collected a pair of walks.
