Six Represent WCC On NFCA Al-Region Teams

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Six West Coast Conference softball student-athletes were named to 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region teams. Brigham Young, Pacific and San Diego were represented with selections that span All-Region first, second and third teams.
The awards were voted on by NFCA member coaches from each respective region. With the honor, student-athletes will become eligible for the 2017 NFCA Division I All-American squad.
The Cougars led all WCC programs with four total selections to the Pacific Region team, including three first teamers. WCC Player of the Year Caitlyn Larsen Alldredge, WCC Pitcher of the Year McKenna Bull and last season's WCC Freshman of the Year Libby Sugg all took first team honors while current WCC Co-Freshman of the Year Rylee Jensen was a third team selection.
San Diego outfielder Taylor Spence earned a second team selection on the West Region team where she was joined by third team selection and WCC Co-Freshman of the Year Hailey Reed of Pacific.
The All-America teams will be announced Wednesday, May 31 on NFCA.org.
