SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its January Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Month, Jenny Jullien from Saint Mary's College, and Doubles Players of the Month, Yurie Hashiguchi and Milica Hadzi-Tanovic from the University of San Francisco.

WOMEN'S TENNIS SINGLES PLAYER OF THE MONTH
JENNY JULLIEN, JR., SAINT MARY'S

Saint Mary's junior Jenny Jullien is the WCC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Month for January. Jullien entered the month of January ranked No. 64 in the country, and went 3-1 in singles play with all matches coming against Top-30 players. Jullien began the month with a straight sets victory over the No. 26 player in the country, followed by another straight sets victory over the No. 9 player the following day.

During the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, Jullien's win over the No. 20 ranked player from UNLV clinched the team victory for Saint Mary's. Jullien's only loss of the month came at the hands of the No. 7 ranked player in the final match of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.

WOMEN'S TENNIS DOUBLES PLAYERS OF THE MONTH
YURIE HASHIGUCHI, SR./ MILICA HADZI-TANOVIC, SO., SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco senior Yurie Hashiguchi and sophomore Milica Hadzi-Tanovic are the WCC Women's Doubles Tennis Players of the Month for January. Hashiguchi and Hadzi-Tanovic were the only San Francisco doubles pair to go undefeated in the month of January, racking up wins over duos from Pacific, UTEP and San Jose State. The tandem's stiffest competition came in their final match of the month, when they defeated SJSU's Chau Truong and Sabastiani Leon Chao in the tiebreaker, 12-10, to take the match, 8-7.

Hashiguchi and Hadzi-Tanovic, holding down the No. 2 spot in the Dons lineup, were the driving force behind a USF team that has won the doubles point in every match this spring.
