Six WCC Student-Athletes Earn AVCA All-American Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference placed six student-athletes on the 2015 AVCA All-American teams as announced by the organization. 

Four WCC programs placed at least one student-athlete on the list, led by two from 2015 WCC Champion BYU. Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, San Diego and Santa Clara each collected an Honorable Mention selection. 

BYU senior outside hitter Alexa Gray, the two-time WCC Player of the Year, earned First Team All-American honors and is the first WCC student-athlete since Pepperdine's Katie Wilkins (2001-03) to earn three first, second or third team selection three times during her career. 

Junior middle blocker and 2015 WCC Defensive Player of the Year Amy Boswell secured Third Team All-American honors after securing honorable mention accolades as a sophomore. 

This marks the fifth straight year the WCC has placed at least four on the AVCA All-American lists and the conference has produced a first team selection in four of the last five seasons.
