SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 26, 2018.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – RUI HACHIMURA, JR., F – GONZAGA
Junior All-American Rui Hachimura was named the Maui Invitational Most Outstanding Player after guiding No. 3/3 Gonzaga to the tournament title. He averaged 22.3 points and six rebounds in the Zags’ three victories, including an 89-87 thriller over top-ranked Duke in Wednesday’s championship game.
The junior forward made 54.5 percent of his shots, including a 3-of-6 effort on 3-pointers, and 16 of 23 free throws.
Against Duke, Hachimura scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists and made three blocks. He helped guide the Bulldogs to their first-ever win over a No. 1 ranked team.
This is the second WCC Player of the Week honor for Hachimura this season.
